Catching Up

Posted by Brian on July 13, 2019

Hi Everyone!

It’s been awhile since we’ve made a post regarding any changes to the site. We apologize for not updating you on improvements we’ve made and features we’ve added. We want to make sure you’re up to date on everything that’s been happening since April 2019 to July 2019. We have been listening to your feedback on the things that needed to be improved or added to better your experience with our website. Some of these changes, however, are some of our ideas we also believe will further improve your experience.

Homepage Updates:

We haven’t done too many visual changes regarding the homepage, but we have made a couple we’d like to point out.

  • Users online block displaying member and guest count

  • Formatted user rank within our news system

  • Added a link in the site’s footer linking to our official team/contributors page

Password Recovery:

The password recovery system has had a complete overhaul to better improve the functionality and be ultimately more secure. User safety is something we take quite seriously and anytime we feel there's a threat to your account, we'll be working on a solution to fix it.

RuneScape Profile System:

We’ve done a significant amount of work to your RS profile page over the past couple of months, most of which has been catching up on re-implementing old functionality, and introducing a highly suggested feature!

  • Re-implemented achievement badges

  • XP Tracker displaying your gains for the past 24 hours.

Maxcape Profile System:

After quite some time we’ve implemented site specific user profiles for you all! Here’s what you’ll find completed so far:

  • Follow system to see what your friends, or even staff are up to.

  • Activity system to display your recent site activity to those viewing your profile.

  • User’s current activity status(online or offline)

Cape Designer:

After quite some time, we’ve finally launched a feature that’s been highly anticipated for many months now. We want you all to welcome back our beloved Max/Comp cape designer! You should expect to see it function exactly as it functioned before, but with quite a few visual improvements to get us up to date with new web standards.

This should cover everything we’ve modified and added over the past months. The team at Maxcape.com want to thank everyone for your continued support. It’s meant the world to us on this journey. Let us know what you think about these changes in our community discord server or by sending us a message on Twitter. Your feedback is valuable to us. It helps us make sure Maxcape.com is the best it can be.
